Job Description

Covenant College Job Posting Adjunct Faculty Position:
Music Theory Covenant College has a beautiful 400-acre campus that stretches atop Lookout Mountain, Georgia, on the Georgia/Tennessee border, just outside of Chattanooga. The community is a hub of vibrant cultural, educational, business, high-tech, and entertainment activity and is an affordable place to live or raise a family. The campus enjoys incredible vistas of the Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau with views that span across several states. The region is widely known as an outdoor recreational paradise for campers, boaters, cyclists, climbers, cavers, and hikers, all while being conveniently located within two hours of Atlanta, Nashville, and Knoxville. The Department of Music at Covenant College invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach one section of Music Theory 1 in the Spring 2027 semester. Covenant College is an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach an undergraduate course in music theory in the context of a Christian perspective Plan lessons and assignments, grade assignments, respond to student inquiries, and submit grades
Qualifications :
An appreciation and understanding of the mission of Covenant College M.A. or higher in Music from an accredited institution Expertise in the subject area Teaching experience preferred Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
