Job Description

About Ubaby Color Ubaby Color is a new children's creative learning center in Upland offering art, coloring, drawing, and enrichment programs for young children. We are looking for a warm, energetic, responsible teacher who genuinely enjoys working with children. We are looking for more than someone who can draw or paint. The right teacher should be able to engage children, manage a classroom, communicate well with parents, and create a fun learning environment that makes children excited to come back. Responsibilities
  • Teach children's art, coloring, drawing, and creative activities using Ubaby Color's curriculum.
  • Lead classes confidently and keep students engaged throughout the lesson.
  • Demonstrate projects and art techniques in an age-appropriate way.
  • Encourage creativity while helping students develop skills.
  • Maintain positive classroom behavior and student safety.
  • Prepare classroom materials before each class.
  • Work with a Teaching Assistant during classes.
  • Keep the classroom and supplies clean and organized.
  • Observe student progress and provide positive feedback.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and staff.
  • Participate in trial classes, special events, open houses, and school activities.
  • Assist with classroom setup and cleanup. Qualifications
  • Experience working with children is strongly preferred.
  • Teaching, tutoring, childcare, art-school, preschool, or enrichment-center experience is a plus.
  • Art, design, illustration, education, early childhood education, or related background preferred.
  • Comfortable managing a group of young children.
  • Friendly, patient, energetic, and dependable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Able to work afternoons and/or weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required. What We're Looking For We especially value candidates who:
  • Naturally connect with children.
  • Have an upbeat and engaging personality.
  • Can take control of a classroom without being overly strict.
  • Are comfortable talking with parents.
  • Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Care about cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
Application Please submit your resume and briefly tell us about your experience working with children. If you have an art portfolio, teaching photos, or examples of your artwork, you are welcome to include them. Selected candidates may be invited to an in-person interview and a short teaching demonstration.
