This position is expected to begin in mid-October 2026 and continue through January 2027. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Provide instruction in visual arts courses in accordance with district curriculum and state standards. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity, artistic expression, and skill development. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, students, and families to support student success. Maintain classroom routines, expectations, and effective classroom management practices. Supervise students and fulfill all professional responsibilities associated with the assignment. Qualifications Connecticut certification in Art preferred. Candidates eligible for a long-term substitute authorization will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of visual arts instruction and effective classroom practices. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to creating an equitable and engaging learning environment for all students. Compensation Compensation will be in accordance with the Enfield Public Schools long-term substitute pay schedule. This will be at a per-diem daily rate dependent upon credentials.
