Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and faith-driven Part-Time Teacher to join our small Lutheran school community. The teacher will be responsible for instructing students in art for grades 3-8, physical education for grades 3-8, and health education for grades 5-8. This role offers a flexible schedule of two days per week during school hours, specifically Thursdays and Fridays, with potential additional substitute teaching opportunities. The position emphasizes fostering a positive and faith-based environment that aligns with the school's Christian values and mission. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging art lessons to students in grades 3 through 8. Conduct physical education classes that promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits. Teach health education to students in grades 5 through 8, covering topics such as wellness, nutrition, and personal safety. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment aligned with the school's faith-based values. Collaborate with staff and communicate effectively with students and parents. Provide additional substitute teaching hours as needed to support classroom coverage. Requirements Prior teaching experience or relevant background in art, physical education, or health education preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to create an engaging learning environment for students of various ages. Commitment to the values and mission of a Lutheran educational setting. Flexibility to work on Thursdays and Fridays during school hours.
