Job Description

Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) is looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for the arts to lead instruction for afterschool and summer programming.

  • time, contracted
Salary :
  • Lead teacher: $25/hour
  • Class assistant: $18/hour

  • During the school calendar year: after school hours, typically 3:30
  • 5PM
  • Summer hours: vary

  • 3 days per week, contracted hours vary
Location :
Michigan City, IN Job Duties
  • Attend training meetings for art class instruction.
  • Lead instruction of art curriculum [projects designed by LCA].
  • Prepare supplies and projects before the start of each class.
  • Clean instruction space and store art supplies after the end of each class.
  • Travel between LCA and instruction sites as needed.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled classes/events, ready to begin. Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience with various art media and techniques.
  • Experience in a professional educational setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, detail-driven and organized.
  • Confidence towards social interactions with students and families.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Display a commitment for consistent attendance and punctuality.
