In this role, you will develop engaging lesson plans, incorporate innovative learning technologies, and create a supportive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and critical thinking. Your expertise will help students explore various art forms, develop technical skills, and appreciate the cultural significance of art. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' artistic journeys while promoting holistic development through visual arts. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive art curricula tailored to different age groups, including early childhood education and elementary levels Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate current learning technology and adapt to individual student needs, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum disorder Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Mentor students in their artistic projects, encouraging experimentation, originality, and confidence in their abilities Integrate literacy education, math concepts, and other core subjects into art lessons to promote interdisciplinary learning Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and library services related to arts education Support early intervention programs and childcare initiatives by incorporating age-appropriate art activities that enhance childhood development Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities Ensure all classroom activities adhere to safety protocols and inclusive practices for working with children with diverse needs Requirements Proven experience working with students in classroom settings, preferably within private or Montessori schools Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management techniques Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math integration, and standardized testing procedures Experience working with children with autism or in special education environments is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students Ability to utilize learning technology tools for lesson delivery and student engagement Background in early childhood education or childhood development is preferred Demonstrated proficiency in proofreading, writing skills, and developing engaging instructional materials Prior experience in tutoring or private school settings will be considered an asset Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports early intervention strategies Join us in shaping the next generation of artists by inspiring creativity, nurturing talent, and promoting lifelong learning!
