Job Description

Job Overview Enthusiastic, engaging and reliable art teacher is wanted to run our weekly open studio program for 4th to 10th grade level students. Position is responsible for instructing students in drawing, painting, and crafting as well as fostering a safe and welcoming space for self-expression and original thought. Responsibilities 1. Teach about different artistic styles, techniques and genres. 2. Develop lesson plans, curricula, and supplementary instructional resources that guide and challenge students. 3. Provide individualized and small group instruction online to address the needs of students. 4. Encourage students to think independently and to express original ideas. 5. Develop relevant assignments and projects. 6. Assess each student's skill level. 7. Communicate with parents and counselors on student progress. Qualifications 1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in fine arts, education or a related field. 2. A state board teaching certification or professional license with appropriate endorsement. 3. Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience. 4. Ability to develop curricula and create lesson plans. 5. Comfortable working with students of different skill levels. 6. Dynamic, articulate, patient, reliable, fun-loving & professional. 7. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 8. Familiar with current online teaching technology. Compensation commensurate with experience Please note: this is a part-time/contract position. Classes are typically either one-on-one sessions or small group lessons. The new hire may teach 1-2 hours per week initially. Our classes are normally scheduled from 6:00am to 9:00am then from 4:30pm to 7:30pm US Eastern Time, Mon-Fri and possibly on weekends.

Pay:

$5,000.00 - $20,500.50 per year
