Dracut, MA & Salem, NH + Local Off-Site Events Lead. Create. Manage. Grow. Hammar's Studios is seeking a creative, sales-minded, and highly organized Studio Manager & Lead Art Instructor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Dracut, MA and Salem, NH Studios. This hands-on leadership position combines Studio management, team development, sales and enrollment growth, customer experience, and art instruction . The Studio Manager will oversee daily operations at both locations, lead and develop a team of approximately 7 Studio Associates and Instructors , and help drive Studio revenue through strong customer relationships, sales follow-up, enrollment, and re-enrollment. At the same time, this person will remain actively involved as a Lead Art Instructor , leading classes, camps, workshops, paint nights, private events, and off-site programs. We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people, teaching art, developing employees, building customer relationships, and taking ownership of the success of two busy creative Studios. Regular travel between Dracut and Salem, as well as local off-site events, is required. Studio Management & Operations Oversee day-to-day operations of both Hammar's Studios locations Ensure Studios are properly staffed, organized, supplied, clean, and prepared for daily programming Coordinate staff schedules, daily priorities, program preparation, and event coverage Maintain high standards for Studio appearance, organization, safety, and customer experience Oversee inventory, program materials, merchandise, and supply needs Identify operational challenges and proactively develop solutions Help implement systems and procedures that improve efficiency, consistency, and Studio performance Communicate staffing, operational, and performance needs to ownership Team Leadership, Training & Development Lead, support, and develop approximately 7 Studio Associates and Instructors Train and onboard new employees in Studio procedures, customer service, sales, and program delivery Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance and responsibilities Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development Coach associates on customer engagement, sales conversations, program recommendations, and re-enrollment Help instructors strengthen classroom management, teaching presence, and participant engagement Identify employee strengths and development opportunities Address routine staff and performance concerns and communicate significant issues to ownership Foster a positive team culture centered around creativity, accountability, customer service, teamwork, and results Sales, Enrollment & Customer Retention Driving enrollment and building lasting customer relationships are key components of this position. Take an active role in achieving Studio sales, enrollment, and customer-retention goals Drive registrations for classes, camps, workshops, memberships, private events, and seasonal programs Build relationships with Studio families and proactively encourage re-enrollment and repeat participation Follow up with customer inquiries, sales leads, prospective registrations, and previous participants Identify opportunities to recommend additional programs based on customer interests Coach Studio Associates to confidently promote programs and convert inquiries into registrations Monitor enrollment and identify programs requiring additional sales attention Work with ownership to identify opportunities to increase registrations, repeat business, and Studio revenue Ensure customers receive a consistently welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional experience Lead Art Instruction & Programming Lead art classes, camps, workshops, birthday parties, paint nights, private events, and other creative experiences Confidently teach step-by-step acrylic painting classes and additional Studio art programs Work effectively with children, teens, adults, families, and groups of varying sizes Adapt instruction for different ages, abilities, and skill levels Create painting samples, project examples, and instructional materials Help develop new projects, classes, camps, workshops, and seasonal programming Maintain high standards for instructional quality and participant experience Support and coach other instructors to strengthen overall program delivery Off-Site Programs & Events Lead and coordinate art programs at schools, community organizations, businesses, private venues, and partner locations Prepare, transport, set up, and break down program materials and supplies Coordinate Studio staff assigned to larger off-site programs Communicate professionally with community partners and on-site contacts Help build relationships that encourage repeat bookings and future programming Ensure off-site programs deliver the same high-quality Hammar's Studios experience Required Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Previous experience supervising, managing, or leading employees Previous sales, customer-service, or revenue-generating experience Demonstrated ability to train, coach, motivate, and develop employees Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Comfortable working toward sales and enrollment goals Confident working with children, families, adults, and groups Self-motivated and comfortable making day-to-day decisions independently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to regularly travel between Dracut, MA and Salem, NH and to local off-site events Basic computer, POS, email, scheduling, and administrative skills Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and school vacation weeks Willingness to complete a CORI/background check and drug screening Preferred Experience Experience in several of the following areas is preferred: Staff supervision and management Sales, enrollment, membership, or customer retention Employee training and development Art instruction, visual arts, or step-by-step acrylic painting Children's programming, camps, education, or enrichment programs Studio, retail, hospitality, recreation, or small-business management Event coordination and off-site programming A formal art degree is welcome but not required.
