The Vincent Smith School, a grade 1-12 independent school founded in 1924, provides an individualized program for students with ADD, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities, such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities, Auditory Processing Disorders School Anxiety, and Language (Expressive/Receptive) Processing Disorders. Located on a beautiful 4½ acre campus in Port Washington, NY, the School is seeking nurturing and collaborative teachers with a Special Education background to join us in serving our students. The qualified candidate will develop, implement and assess the efficacy of instruction in Art Class. The ideal candidates are experienced independent school teachers with a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment and have a commitment to teaching students with language-based learning disabilities.
