Humanities and Social Sciences Position Summary:

Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Art and Design undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department. The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions to support the department's General Education and minor in Arts, Literature, and Philosophy courses. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach: Introduction to Drawing, Watercolors, Design and Aesthetics, Introduction to Graphic Design, Art History and other courses within the instructor's field of expertise.

Teaching Modality:

Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in person on campus, hybrid, or related lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.

Location:

The primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States. Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information. In your cover letter, please specify those areas or courses that you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching. This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. Additional Requirement:

Master's Degree or higher in Art, Design, Graphics Design or related field - years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree. Experience teaching at the college level.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard). Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
