Exempt Job Summary The Adjunct Position in Studio Art, Sculpture will teach 1-2 classes for students at all levels of sculpture courses. The successful candidate may also teach 3D Design courses or other department needs as assigned by the department chair. Essential Job Functions Teaching and related activities.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
MFA or 18 hours of graduate study in Studio Art Sculpture. Minimum of 18 hours of graduate study in Studio Art Sculpture. Ability to teach sculpture and 3D Design (1-2 classes per semester).
Desired Qualifications:
Records of professional and creative accomplishment. Ability to manage students in classes using the wood studio. One year of teaching experience in courses listed or related courses.
Supplemental Information Key Competencies:
Ability to teach, mentor, and manage students in classes using the wood studio.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 25 pounds, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings.
Job Conditions:
Instruction will be delivered primarily in a studio and classroom environment.
