Friday, 5-7pm PST Job Summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable World Scholar's Cup (WSC) Teacher to lead in-person classes and help students prepare for WSC competitions. The teacher will create an engaging learning environment while developing students' knowledge, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and competition skills. Responsibilities Teach and facilitate World Scholar's Cup (WSC) lessons in person. Prepare students for WSC events, including Scholar's Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Collaborative Speech, and Team Debate . Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, activities, discussions, and practice sessions. Help students build strong knowledge of WSC curriculum topics and themes. Teach research, critical thinking, argument development, public speaking, and debate skills. Conduct practice activities, mock competitions, and drills to help students become familiar with WSC formats. Provide constructive feedback on students' performance and identify areas for improvement. Monitor students' progress and communicate relevant updates to parents and the scheduling/academic team when needed. Maintain a positive, supportive, and interactive classroom environment. Adapt teaching strategies according to students' different learning levels and needs. Collaborate with other WSC teachers and staff to ensure consistency in student preparation. Qualifications Previous experience teaching, coaching, or participating in World Scholar's Cup (WSC) is preferred. Strong knowledge of debate, public speaking, writing, and critical thinking. Excellent English communication skills. Comfortable working with students in an in-person classroom setting. Ability to engage and motivate students of different ages and skill levels. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Creative, energetic, patient, and supportive teaching approach. Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback. Reliable and punctual.
