\nSizer School, a North Central Charter Essential School, is seeking a driven, dynamic and experienced Spanish teacher to be a part of the school's instructional team. This candidate will bring a passion for implementing and supporting best instructional practices, and a commitment to further promote an already existing positive collaborative school environment. Only those candidates with a deep passion for the Sizer School mission and ready to teach in and be a part of an exemplary, innovative public middle/high school need apply.\nEssential Functions (include but are not limited to)\nTeach Spanish I and II classes with a focus on language fluency and literacy\nActively participate in the work of the school, including innovative curriculum development, project-based learning, and assessment\nUtilize and integrate technology and multimedia modalities to enhance instruction and student learning\nCommunicate proactively and effectively with students, faculty, and parents/guardians\nProvide frequent, constructive, objective, and prompt feedback to students\nPromote the learning and growth of all students by providing high-quality, coherent, and culturally-proficient instruction\nDesign units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks\nDemonstrate instructional practices that establish high expectations, and create a safe and effective classroom environment\nAdapt instruction, materials, and assessments to make challenging material accessible to all students, including English learners and students with disabilities\nAct as an advisor to a group of students and shape curriculum and practice to support the whole student\nReflect on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, both individually and with colleagues, and use insights gained to improve practice and student learning\nParticipate in school-wide and subject specific professional development and grade-level team meetings\nRegular in-person attendance\n

SIZER SCHOOL

\nSizer School is located in Fitchburg, MA, draws from cities and towns in North Central Massachusetts, and is chartered to serve 400 students in grades 7-12. The school's faculty and staff are some of the most dedicated professionals in Massachusetts public schools and do whatever it takes to ensure student achievement. The school is named in honor of Ted Sizer, and we are known for our commitment to the common principles of the Essential School movement.
