Compensation:
$10,000 total contract , paid in equal monthly installments over the contract term. The contract is based on an equivalent daily rate of $92.58 (108 days) for services rendered. This is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include employee benefits. About Unparalleled Preparatory Academy Unparalleled Preparatory Academy (UPA) is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades 6-8 with a mission to accelerate students toward college, career, and life success through career immersion, design thinking, and leadership development. We seek educators who are innovative, relationship-driven, and passionate about helping students discover and develop their talents. Position Summary UPA is seeking an energetic and passionate Part-Time Spanish Teacher (Contractor) to build a strong foundation for our middle school music program. This individual will teach two sections of 8th Grade Spanish (120 minutes daily) while developing beginning spanish skills. Primary Responsibilities Instruction Teach two sections of 8th Grade Spanish 2-3 times a week. Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons. Student Engagement Build meaningful relationships with students. Encourage student creativity, confidence, and collaboration. Communicate student progress with families as needed. Professional Responsibilities Attend required staff meetings, professional development, and school events related to assigned responsibilities. Maintain accurate attendance and grade records. Collaborate with teachers and school leadership.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Education, Spanish, or a related field. Ability to teach beginning spanish. Strong classroom management skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred:
Experience teaching spanish to middle school-aged students. Experience working in charter schools or Title I schools. Schedule The contractor will provide services that include: Teaching two sections of 8th Grade Spanish Reasonable planning and preparation necessary to fulfill contractual responsibilities
Compensation Total Contract Value:
$10,000 Paid in equal monthly installments over the duration of the contract. This is a 1099 independent contractor agreement . The contractor is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and is not eligible for employee benefits, retirement contributions, paid leave, or other employment-related benefits.
