Since 2012, we've helped students from around the world pursue their educational goals in the USA. We're now seeking energetic and engaging instructors to lead our Interactive Intensive English Course , designed to immerse students in lively, fast-paced learning for nine hours every Monday. About the Role We are looking for animated, committed part-time instructors who can inspire and energize students, creating a dynamic and interactive classroom environment. Candidates should be team players, flexible, and aligned with our mission to "foster world citizenship." Instructors in this course work weekly 9 hours of classroom instruction in person and 2 hours of prep time remotely per shift . Hours double if the instructor works both the Monday and Friday shifts. We welcome applicants working towards their bachelor's degree. Primary Responsibilities Engaging Lesson Planning
Prepare highly interactive lessons to keep students engaged and actively learning. Demonstrate written preparation as requested by the Academic Office. Classroom Organization
Create a structured, adaptable schedule aligned with the Interactive English Intensive Course curriculum, including being able to (learn how to) navigate Google Classrooms. Student-Centered Teaching
Lead and engage students in hands-on activities that meet curriculum goals, supporting both individual and group learning. Clear Instruction
Set clear lesson objectives, communicating them effectively at the start and throughout each session. Consistent Assessment
Monitor and report student progress weekly by updating the gradebook with relevant feedback. Supportive Rapport
Build strong, positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment. Adaptable Pedagogy
Use a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to appeal to diverse learning styles and needs. Professional Conduct
Uphold school policies consistently, fostering a respectful, disciplined learning environment. Collaborative Communication
Partner with the Academic Office to address concerns and work toward student success. Professional Growth
Participate in teacher and training meetings, welcome constructive feedback, and engage in professional development opportunities.
Additional opportunities include special projects of curriculum development, staff training, academic advisory, and material development as needed. Required Qualifications 1+ year of teaching experience, demonstrated through relevant work experience, training, or education. Desired Qualifications TESOL certification Experience in medium-to-large classroom settings Experience teaching adult learners Ability to lead and energize the classroom Google workspace proficiency
