2027-28 Adjunct Professor of Business Law Illinois Wesleyan University School of Business and Economics The School of Business and Economics invites applications for Adjunct Professor of Business Law. We seek an adjunct instructor to teach one or two sections of Business Law. The course introduces undergraduate business students to the legal environment of business, including topics such as contracts, business organizations, employment law, regulatory issues, and other legal principles relevant to business decision-making. The successful candidate should be able to communicate legal concepts effectively to undergraduate students and connect course material to practical business situations. This part-time position is a four month, on-campus, non-benefits-eligible position.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include preparing and delivering course instruction, assessing student learning, maintaining appropriate communication with students, and fulfilling other normal instructional responsibilities associated with the course.
Qualifications:
A J.D. or other relevant advanced degree is preferred, along with professional experience in law, business, or a related field. Prior college-level teaching experience is desirable but not required. Excellent communication skills
Compensation and Benefits:
Duration/terms of appointment: August 24, 2026 through December 11, 2026
Compensation:
$5000 (negotiable) The final candidate will pass a pre-employment background investigation.
