Adjunct Faculty - Business and Accounting
POSITION
Adjunct Faculty -
Business and Accounting:
Business and Accounting Department; Business and Professional Studies Division; Haverhill (100 Elliott Street) or Lawrence campuses (45 Franklin Street);
MCCC/MTA DCE
Unit Position SUMMARY:
For Fall 2026, we are seeking instructors for a primarily day-accelerated, face-to-face Introduction to Accounting I (ACC101) class at 45 Franklin Street in Lawrence. We are additionally seeking instructors to join our Adjunct Faculty pool to teach a variety of Business and Accounting courses on an as-needed basis. Classes are typically offered at NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses during daytime and evening hours, as well as online, face-to-face, and in hybrid formats. A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog. Course descriptions are available on the NECC website.

REPORTS TO
Dean of Business and Professional Studies
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes. Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, and syllabus requirements.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level Experience using technology in instruction and assessment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Community College teaching experience Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System Bilingual (Spanish/English) Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Northern Essex Community College does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).
Additional Information:
SALARY:
$1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
