Faculty Position Chemistry/Biochemistry College of the Ozarks invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The successful candidate will have a PhD or be close to completion of a PhD in organic or biochemistry. Candidates with a master's degree who demonstrate a desire and commitment to pursue an appropriate terminal degree will also be considered. Responsibilities for the position include teaching undergraduate courses in organic and biochemistry as well as freshmen level chemistry courses. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to participate in student advising and mentorship. While this position is primarily a teaching position, other forms of scholarship as well as service to the College and community are actively encouraged and supported. The start date for this position is Spring 2027, but applications will remain open until the position is filled. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must embrace the College's Christ-centered mission and demonstrate excellence and commitment to undergraduate chemistry education. The successful candidate must be willing to serve as a positive role model and passionate advocate for science.
