Cheerleading Coach LA County Parks and Recreation (Don Knabe park) Cerritos, CA Job Details Temporary Up to $150 a month 18 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Personal service experience with children Sports activities for children Cheerleading Teaching Full Job Description Cheerleading Coach Job Summary We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Cheerleading Coach to lead a beginner cheer class for 5-year-olds. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for teaching basic cheerleading skills. This paid position involves creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where young children can learn the fundamentals of cheerleading, including basic stunts, motions, and teamwork. The coach will be responsible for planning age-appropriate activities that promote confidence, coordination, and enthusiasm for cheerleading. Responsibilities Plan and instruct a cheerleading class tailored to 5-year-olds, focusing on basic skills such as motions, simple stunts, and cheers. Create a positive and encouraging environment that fosters fun, safety, and learning. Demonstrate proper techniques and ensure children understand safety guidelines during activities. Engage children in age-appropriate exercises that develop coordination, balance, and teamwork. Monitor participants closely to ensure safety and provide individual support as needed. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding class progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized activity space suitable for young children's activities. Foster teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship among participants. Experience Prior experience working with children is required. Previous coaching or teaching experience in cheerleading or related activities is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to create engaging lesson plans suitable for young children's developmental levels. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching young learners in a fun and safe environment.
Pay:
Up to $150.00 per month
