This paid position is an opportunity to develop young athletes, share your wrestling knowledge, and serve as a positive role model both on and off the mat. As a coach from the Southern Section, I am looking for dependable support throughout the season. Advanced wrestling skills are preferred but not required. What matters most is respect, professionalism, altruism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to helping young athletes succeed. We are more than coaches. We are mentors and leaders helping shape young minds, and I expect everyone on our coaching team to lead by example.

Schedule and Compensation Monday-Friday:

4:15 PM - 6:30

PM Tournaments:

Generally begin at 7:00 AM at local high schools

Pay:

$5,500 per year

Location:

In person Consistent attendance and availability throughout the wrestling season are essential. Responsibilities Lead and assist in planning and leading wrestling practices for athletes of varying skill levels. Teach and reinforce wrestling fundamentals, techniques, conditioning, and competition preparation. Promote discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and respect among student-athletes. Maintain a safe and supportive environment during practices, competitions, and team activities. Help supervise athletes during tournaments and other scheduled wrestling events. Communicate professionally with students, parents, coaches, and school staff. Assist with equipment setup, cleanup, and general program operations. Lead by example through positive behavior, patience, accountability, and strong character. Qualifications Advanced or competitive wrestling experience preferred, but not required. Previous coaching, teaching, mentoring, or youth sports experience is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and support student-athletes with different backgrounds and abilities. Must demonstrate respect, patience, professionalism, and a genuine interest in youth development. Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting the team throughout the season. Must successfully complete a background check and fingerprint screening, both paid for by the program. First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred. Experience in other sports, fitness programs, or youth recreation is a plus.
