In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and execution of offensive strategies for our junior varsity football team, fostering a positive and competitive environment. Your enthusiasm for sports, strong leadership skills, and commitment to student-athletes will drive team success and personal growth. This volunteer position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young athletes, enhance your coaching expertise, and contribute to a vibrant athletic community. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging offensive game plans tailored to the team's strengths and opponents Lead practice sessions focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship Analyze game footage to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly Foster a supportive environment that promotes discipline, respect, and enthusiasm among players Collaborate with other coaching staff to coordinate training schedules and team activities Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff regarding team progress and upcoming events Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and games, including AED operation and first aid readiness Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching or team leadership roles, preferably with football or similar contact sports Strong knowledge of offensive gameplay strategies and sports-specific training instruction Experience working with children or student-athletes in educational or athletic settings Excellent communication skills to motivate players and engage with parents and staff Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire Demonstrated ability in behavior management, childcare, teaching physical education or sports coaching experience is highly desirable Join us in shaping the next generation of athletes by combining your passion for sports with your dedication to youth development.
