Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Swim Instructor and inspire confidence and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons, promote water safety, and foster a positive environment that encourages skill development and enjoyment. Whether working with children or adults, your enthusiasm and expertise will help participants achieve their aquatic goals while ensuring a safe and supportive experience for everyone. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a splash in the community while honing your coaching and teaching skills. Duties Lead engaging swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginner to advanced Ensure the safety of all participants by actively monitoring water activities and enforcing safety protocols Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their swimming techniques and confidence Conduct water safety education sessions, including rescue techniques and emergency response procedures Maintain a clean, organized pool environment and ensure all equipment is in good working order Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members regarding progress and safety concerns Assist with behavior management to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning Experience Prior lifeguard experience or certification demonstrating strong water safety skills Proven swimming ability with experience teaching or coaching swimming techniques Background in sports-specific training instruction such as martial arts, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or judo is advantageous Experience working with children or in childcare settings, with a focus on behavior management and engagement Knowledge of first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and basic emergency response procedures Demonstrated ability to lead teams or groups in sports coaching or physical education environments Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Experience in health clubs or gym settings is a plus, along with familiarity working with students of diverse ages and skill levels Join us as a Swim Instructor to empower individuals through water safety education and skill development! Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per week
