Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Swim Coach and inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels to achieve their personal best! In this energetic role, you will design engaging training programs, lead motivating practice sessions, and foster a positive environment that promotes safety, growth, and confidence in the water. Your passion for sports, teaching, and teamwork will help develop skilled swimmers while ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community's health and wellness through aquatic education. Duties Plan and deliver comprehensive swim training sessions tailored to individual skill levels and goals Lead group practices for swim teams or classes, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and sportsmanship Monitor swimmers during practice and competitions to ensure safety protocols are followed Provide clear instructions on swimming techniques, water safety, and emergency procedures Conduct regular assessments of swimmers' progress and provide constructive feedback Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing rules, managing behavior, and responding promptly to emergencies using AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and first aid/CPR skills Collaborate with parents, guardians, or clients to communicate progress, address concerns, and set achievable goals Skills Proven experience in swimming coaching or instruction with a strong background in sports-specific training methods Lifeguard experience with current certification in AED operation, first aid, and CPR is essential Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and manage behavior positively Knowledge of martial arts such as Karate or Judo enhances coaching versatility and discipline techniques Experience working with sports teams like soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or gymnastics is highly valued Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team leadership, and teaching diverse age groups Ability to motivate athletes through energetic coaching styles while maintaining safety standards Background in physical education or sports coaching experience that supports effective teaching strategies Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm for sports and dedication to safety combine to create inspiring aquatic experiences.
