Duties Assist in planning and executing engaging volleyball practices that improve technical skills, teamwork, and game strategies Support the head coach in supervising athletes during games, practices, and team events to ensure safety and discipline Help monitor athlete behavior and implement effective behavior management techniques to foster a respectful team environment Contribute to developing training programs that incorporate sports-specific instruction and physical conditioning Communicate regularly with players, parents, and staff to provide updates on team progress and upcoming events Assist with organizing team logistics such as equipment management, game schedules, and travel arrangements Promote a positive team culture by encouraging sportsmanship, leadership, and healthy competition among athletes Qualifications Prior experience working with children or students in a coaching or teaching capacity Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and game strategies; experience in soccer coaching or other team sports is a plus Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide young athletes effectively Strong communication skills for clear instruction and client (player/parent) interaction First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire; AED operation knowledge preferred Background in sports coaching or physical education instruction; experience with martial arts such as karate or judo is advantageous Familiarity with health club or gym environments; experience in climbing or cheerleading can be beneficial Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a fun learning environment This paid position ensures you gain valuable coaching experience while making a meaningful impact on student-athletes' lives.
