BVA Lions Volleyball Academy in Des Plaines is hiring Youth Volleyball Coaches for the 2026-27 club season. We are building a serious, development-first youth volleyball program, and we are looking for volleyball specialists with real coaching experience who want to help us build something great.

Pay:

$20-$35 per hour, based on experience. Strong, proven coaches start at the top of the range. Experience Required At least 2 years of volleyball coaching experience at the high school or club level. Experience coaching youth athletes (roughly ages 11-15). Working knowledge of volleyball systems, rotations and serve-receive formations. If you do not yet meet the 2-year high school or club coaching requirement, please do not apply for this role. Applications without verifiable coaching experience will not be considered. About BVA Lions BVA Lions Volleyball Academy is a youth volleyball club building a serious, development-first program for girls 12U-15U and boys 13U-14U. We train the European academy way: structured season cycles, small groups, an Individual Development Plan for every athlete, and two coaches at almost every practice. We are a small club, and we are selective on purpose. The Role You will start on one of our teams, working side by side with a Head Coach or Master Coach. Depending on your experience, a head coach position may be available right away . Every coach works inside our shared methodology and practice structure, so you will always know the plan and the goal of each session.

Schedule:

Weeknight practices between 5:30 PM and 9:15 PM, plus some weekend practices

Commitment:

2-4 sessions per week to start, with the possibility of a team assignment Responsibilities Run practices built on our season plan: technical skills, team systems and game play. Give athletes clear, specific feedback and track their progress against their development plans. Work closely with your co-coach and our Master Coaches to keep development consistent across teams. Set the standard for discipline, effort and sportsmanship. Use our practice app and LeagueApps to mark attendance and stay organized. What You Get $20-$35/hour based on experience, with the top of the range for proven coaches. Paid onboarding and our in-house coaches education program: season planning, practice structure and drill progressions.

USAV / AAU / JVA

memberships and background checks reimbursed by the club. Mentorship from experienced coaches with backgrounds in Europe and the USA. A clear path from assistant coach to head coach, plus paid summer camp work. Continuous coaching education throughout the season. Free BVA Lions coaches' gear. Must complete USAV SafeSport training and a background check before working with athletes (cost reimbursed by the club). Reliable weeknight availability.
