Position Description:
Ball State is seeking an Temporary Assistant Coach and Internal Operations Assistant for Women's Track.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide coaching, teaching, and instruction to student-athletes in assigned event areas, including the development of technical skills, training plans, competition preparation, and overall student-athlete development. Coordinate day-to-day administrative and operational activities for the Track & Field and Cross Country programs. Manage team communications, including practice schedules, travel itineraries, meeting information, and other program updates. Assist with planning and coordinating team travel, including transportation, lodging, meals, and related travel documentation. Maintain equipment, apparel, and inventory records; coordinate ordering, distribution, and replacement of team equipment and supplies. Coordinate use of practice and competition facilities, including scheduling, event preparation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare, organize, and maintain compliance-related documentation in accordance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and University policies and procedures. Support recruiting and operational recordkeeping by maintaining accurate program files and assisting with required administrative processes. Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and other administrative transactions in accordance with University policies. Provide organizational and logistical support for home competitions, camps, clinics, and special events. Assist coaches with practice organization, student-athlete support, and coaching responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach. Collaborate with Athletics staff and campus partners to ensure efficient operation of the Track & Field and Cross Country programs. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and goals of Ball State Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience as an athlete or coach in track and field and/or cross country at a competitive level High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
