Job Description
USD 495 is looking for a High School Asst Coach to help lead our boy's high school basketball program for the 2026-27 school year. This position is focused on building strong relationships, creating a positive team experience, and helping student-athletes grow on and off the court.
Larned High School competes in the Central Kansas League and views athletics as an extension of the educational experience.
Coaching Responsibilities
Lead the high school girl's basketball program
Create a positive, respectful team environment
Build strong relationships with student-athletes and families
Communicate clearly with players, parents, and staff
Support academic expectations and eligibility
Qualifications
Basketball coaching experience preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
Commitment to positive experiences for student-athletes
Ability to work well with students, families, and colleagues
