Evening and weekend shifts required Position Overview Jackson School of the Arts is seeking an experienced Gymnastics Coach who can independently lead classes, develop young gymnasts and create a structured, positive learning environment. We are looking for someone who understands gymnastics skill development and can take ownership of a group of approximately 8-10 students, building skills and progressions from week to week while maintaining strong classroom management. Our program focuses on foundational gymnastics and skill development rather than competitive gymnastics. Coaches should be able to meet students where they are, recognize what they are ready to work toward next and help them progress safely and confidently. Key Responsibilities Independently lead gymnastics classes of approximately 8-10 students Teach and develop skills across floor, beam, bars and vault Build on skills and progressions from week to week Provide appropriate drills, corrections and modifications based on student ability Maintain a safe, structured and engaging classroom Manage student behavior and keep groups actively learning Direct and mentor assistant coaches working within the classroom Help assistants develop their coaching, spotting and classroom management skills Follow JSA curriculum, safety expectations and student evaluation practices Maintain a consistent weekly teaching schedule

Qualifications Required:

Strong gymnastics coaching, gymnastics or competitive cheer experience Working knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals, progressions and safe skill development Ability to independently manage and teach a group of children Strong classroom leadership and communication skills Reliability and consistency

Preferred:

Previous coaching or teaching experience Strong communication and teamwork skills Additional Information Evening (Monday-Wednesday) and weekend (Saturday) availability is required due to program scheduling.
