Position Summary:

Wolverine Community Schools is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Basketball Coaches to lead our boys and girls middle school basketball teams. The ideal candidate will promote a positive team culture, prioritize student-athlete development, and uphold the mission and values of Wolverine Community Schools and the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the varsity volleyball program, including practices, games, and off-season conditioning. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to student-athletes that fosters skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement. Model appropriate behavior and maintain professional conduct at all times, on and off the court. Communicate clearly and consistently with players, families, school staff, and the athletic director regarding schedules, expectations, and team matters. Ensure compliance with MHSAA regulations and school district policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior coaching experience at the middle school level or above. Knowledge of basketball strategies, techniques, and MHSAA rules. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or willingness to obtain). Completion of MHSAA required coaching certifications (or willingness to complete). Ability to pass a background check per school district requirements.
