This position does not include benefits. Performs semiskilled work coordinating a variety of athletic programs, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Athletics Division Manager. T o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position Responsibilities Coordinates and oversees athletic programs. Prepares the facility or field for the program and ensures safety of the facility. Ensures the athletic venue is adequately cleaned and organized after use. Maintains athletic program records. Enforces departmental rules and regulations related to players, coaches, and spectators. Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications General knowledge of the equipment and techniques necessary to successfully conduct athletic programs; general knowledge of the methods involved in organizing, conducting, promoting and supervising athletic activities; some knowledge of first aid methods and necessary safety precautions to be used in recreation work; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials and the general public; ability to express ideas clearly both orally and in writing. Education, Experience, and Special Requirements High school diploma or GED and moderate experience organizing athletic leagues and programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
