$18.75-$65/hour, based on session volume; Most full-time trainers earn $56,000-$80,000+ annually. Position Summary Infinitive Fitness Club is a private, boutique fitness studio in Basking Ridge, NJ, offering science-based personal training, small group training, and specialized programming. We are seeking a full-time, certified Personal Trainer to deliver high-quality one-on-one and small group coaching while also serving as a primary point of contact for members and daily studio operations. This is a full-time position with guaranteed weekly base pay plus uncapped bonus for every private, small group, and class session, and with responsibilities that extend beyond client sessions to include studio presence, member communication, and day-to-day oversight of the floor. About Infinitive Fitness Club Infinitive Fitness Club is a private, premium fitness studio built to help members achieve meaningful strength, confidence, and long-term health through science-based coaching and high-touch member support. We are committed to creating an environment where clients feel guided, supported, and never intimidated. Trainers joining our team step into an established, growing membership base rather than building a client list from scratch. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Private and Small Group Personal Training Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, including movement, strength, body composition, and lifestyle factors. Design and deliver individualized, science-based training programs based on each client's goals, injury history, and life stage, in both 1:1 and small group (up to 4 clients) formats. Coach clients in strength training, metabolic health, bone density, and injury prevention. Teach and enforce proper exercise mechanics and breathing technique; observe clients and provide corrective feedback. Provide factual education on recovery, sleep, stress management, hydration, and nutrition fundamentals. Build client relationships that support long-term consistency and retention. Track client progress and adjust programming as needed. Respond to safety codes and administer CPR/AED when required. Group Exercise Classes Program and lead group exercise classes. Provide appropriate progressions and regressions for varying fitness levels. Prioritize safety, technique, and member experience in class design. Studio Operations and Member Relations Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for members and prospective members, including answering phone calls/texts and addressing questions about services, pricing, scheduling, and policies. Greet members and support the floor experience for open-gym and drop-in members. Assume responsibility for day-to-day floor operations and member-facing issues in the owner's absence, using sound judgment to determine what can be resolved directly versus what requires escalation. Conduct regular walkthroughs of the facility to identify maintenance or safety issues. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across the gym floor, equipment, and common areas. Promote Infinitive's programs, services, and memberships to current and prospective members. Participate in staff meetings, team communication, and shift coordination with fellow trainers. Communicate relevant member feedback, operational issues, or business opportunities to the owner. Current CPR/AED certification. Minimum of 1 year of personal training or strength coaching experience; 3+ years preferred. Strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, exercise science, and exercise technique. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to represent the business professionally to members, prospects, and phone inquiries. Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. Availability to work full-time on-site, including early mornings, evenings, and rotating weekends. Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a role combining client-facing training with informal operational or leadership responsibility. Experience or continuing education in areas such as women's health, strength and conditioning, or metabolic health and behavior change is a plus.
