THE GYM MAPLEWOOD, a premier youth sports training facility focused on developing young athletes through mentorship, technical instruction, and competitive opportunities, is hiring a Baseball Coach/Trainer. This is a part-time contractor position responsible for providing private, semi-private, and group instruction to youth baseball players (ages 8-14), with emphasis on pitching, hitting, and fielding.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma (required); college-level playing or coaching experience preferred Prior experience instructing/coaching youth baseball Strong technical knowledge of hitting, pitching, and fielding mechanics Ability to teach age-appropriate baseball skills and drills Availability on weeknights and/or weekends Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Energetic, positive, and encouraging attitude Customer-service orientation and professional demeanor

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct private and semi-private training sessions Coach clinics, programs, or teams as needed Support facility setup and maintenance for training sessions and events Assist in curriculum design for programs, camps, clinics, and group/team practices Provide mentorship, skill development, and character-building to youth athletes Communicate effectively with players and parents to schedule training and relay key information Enforce all safety protocols, facility policies, and sportsmanship standards Serve as a role model for youth athletes and foster a respectful, inclusive, and fun environment Collaborate with management on program development and client engagement
