Position Summary Pay It Forward NJ Swim & Sports is seeking a certified Swim Instructor with a valid lifeguarding certification and a strong background in teaching school‑age children . This role focuses on delivering safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate swim instruction in a supportive learning environment. Instructors must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage small groups effectively. Key Responsibilities Lead structured swim lessons for school‑age children and adults using skill‑progression‑based instruction Maintain constant vigilance and uphold all safety protocols as a certified lifeguard Provide clear demonstrations, corrections, and individualized feedback Create a positive, encouraging learning environment for swimmers of all levels Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and program leadership Ensure proper use of equipment and maintain a clean, safe pool deck Document participant progress and support program development as needed Required Qualifications Valid Lifeguarding Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) Minimum 2+ years of experience teaching swim lessons to school‑age children Strong understanding of water safety, stroke development, and class management Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to high‑quality instruction
