Head Coach (USL League 2) Cedar Stars South Hackensack, NJ Job Details Seasonal $8,000 a month 17 hours ago Qualifications Team leadership Sports team experience Driver's License Working with youth Full Job Description Cedar Stars is a pre-professional soccer team based in New Jersey is looking for a Head Coach for its Cedar Stars USL League 2 team. The USL League 2 sits in the 4th Tier of the professional soccer pyramid in the United States. We are looking for coaches with a passion for soccer and experience with youth (ages 16-18) and/or collegiate soccer. This is a seasonal position as our season runs from May 1st - July 16th 2027 (Not including if the team makes playoffs). Our soccer coaches are responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing teams and players at Cedar Stars. Roles and Responsibilities The Head coach is responsible for leading and supporting the team in consultation with the Sporting Director and in accordance with Cedar Stars vision, values and philosophy Directly responsible for the management and coaching of the team under the guidance of the Sporting Director during the training sessions and games. Coordinates and prepares sessions in accordance with Cedar Stars Game Model and philosophy. Responsible for Roster selection for the 2027 USL 2 season. Will work directly with the Sporting Director to assure all roster selections are in line with Cedar Stars vision, values and philosophy Responsible for attending and leading all training sessions and managing USL 2 staff responsibilities for all sessions. Responsible for attending and leading all matches (home and away) and managing USL 2 staff with game preparations and game day operations. Develop a positive working relationship with the players and provide feedback throughout the season regarding their performance. Availability for 3 times a week training session. (Days TBD) Availability to attend all 14 League games (both home and away) - Dates TBD Availability to train from 8:00-10:00pm on the required training days Required Qualifications and Experience Over the age of 18 Minimum USSF 'B' or equivalent coaching license Coaching experience with youth players from the ages of 16-18 or older and/or previous playing experience. (Collegiate Coaching Experience Preferred) Applicants to hold a full driver's license and have reliable means of transport. Excellent leadership, communication skills, and a good team player
