Duties Assist lead coaches in planning and delivering engaging pickleball training sessions for players of varying skill levels Support the setup and breakdown of courts, equipment management, and safety inspections before and after activities Provide clear instruction on pickleball techniques, rules, and sportsmanship principles to participants Supervise players during practice drills, games, and tournaments to ensure safety and proper conduct Foster a positive environment by encouraging teamwork, good behavior, and respect among players of all ages Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff to address questions or concerns about programs or safety protocols Support the organization of special events, clinics, or competitions to promote community engagement in pickleball Skills Prior experience as a sports coach or instructor, preferably with pickleball or similar racquet sports Background in sports-specific training instruction and team leadership Experience working with children or youth in a coaching or childcare setting Knowledge of basic first aid procedures including CPR/AED operation to ensure participant safety Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with physical education teaching methods and behavior management strategies Background in related activities such as tennis, basketball, soccer coaching, martial arts (including karate), climbing, or swimming is a plus Ability to motivate participants while maintaining a lively and energetic coaching style This paid role is perfect for individuals passionate about sports coaching who want to make a positive impact on their community through active engagement. Pay:
