We are seeking a motivated and energetic Resident Athletic Performance Coach to join our high-performance athletic staff. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate, former collegiate athlete, exercise science or kinesiology student, aspiring strength and conditioning coach, or anyone looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in an elite athletic environment. Working directly with nationally ranked basketball teams and experienced coaches, you will play an important role in helping student-athletes maximize their physical performance while gaining practical experience that will strengthen your future career in sports performance, coaching, or athletic administration. This unique residential position includes free on-campus housing , complimentary meals , and fully funded team travel , allowing you to immerse yourself in the daily operations of a nationally respected basketball program. In addition to receiving mentorship from experienced coaches and performance professionals, you will build valuable relationships, develop practical coaching skills, and gain experience that few entry-level opportunities can offer. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the planning and implementation of athletic performance and strength training sessions; coordinating training schedules and logistics for six to eight basketball teams; supporting athlete development, testing, performance tracking, and data collection; maintaining and organizing training equipment and facilities; supervising student-athletes during workouts and team activities; assisting with practices, competitions, and team travel; supporting game-day operations; serving as a positive mentor and role model; and providing limited residential supervision and campus support as assigned. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for athletics and athlete development, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary. Previous participation in competitive athletics is preferred, and coursework or experience in coaching, strength and conditioning, exercise science, kinesiology, sports management, or a related field is beneficial but not required. This position is particularly well suited for individuals seeking to launch a career in coaching, athletic performance, strength and conditioning, sports management, or athlete development.
