Middle School Boys Soccer Coach

Job Description

Position Overview:
Mill River is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Boys Soccer Coach to lead and develop our middle school girls soccer program. This position is ideal for a positive role model who is passionate about mentoring young athletes and fostering a love for the game while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Prior HS/MS coaching experience AND all
VPA/NFHS
required courses in CPR/AED, Concussion, Coaching Fundamentals, and Sports First Aid (courses will be reimbursed by school upon successful completion)
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct effective practices focused on skill development, fitness, and game strategies.

Comply with all VPA regulations.

Teach fundamentals of soccer in a fun, encouraging, and age-appropriate way.

Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that supports student-athletes on and off the field.

Communicate clearly and consistently with players, parents, and school staff.

Manage team logistics including practices, games, and transportation as needed.

Maintain equipment and ensure player safety at all times.

Adhere to school policies and league regulations.

Be the last person to leave the practice/event area and make sure all team members have left.

Keep the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer informed of all injuries.

Maintain good communications with the Athletic Director, principal, fellow coaches, parents, and athletes.

Report any changes in schedules or times of practice to the Athletic DirectorOther related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
