Job Description

Lyndon Institute is seeking to hire a Head Coach for our Track and Field team for the upcoming 2026/2027 season.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates activities with regard to practice, participation in all competitions and other events as assigned by the Director of Athletics
  • Be available weekdays from 3:30 pm on (depending on practice and game times), and on weekends as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining individual and team stats per game/seasons
  • Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to promote Lyndon Institute through summer camps, community events and other outreach opportunities
  • Represent Lyndon Institute in a positive and professional manner at athletic events and within the greater community
  • Foster an inclusive, and team oriented environment that encourages student-athletes to reach their full potential
Qualifications:
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals, rules, and regulations essential to building a successful (sport) program
  • Knowledge of appropriate fitness, conditioning, and training principles for the sport.
  • Ability to work effectively with the coaching staff, administration, students, parents, and community members
  • Sound judgment and a strong understanding that athletics is an extension of the classroom
  • Commitment to serving as a positive role model and mentor who helps student-athletes develop leadership skills, character, responsibility, and qualities necessary to become successful members of society.
  • Willingness to follow and uphold all Lyndon Institute policies and procedures
  • Ability to create a team atmosphere that reflects and respects the history and culture of Lyndon Institute
  • Recent successful coaching experience at the high school, college, or club level is preferred

$2,948 to $5,896 Stipend
