Job Description

Overview Looking for a part-time job where you can stay active, work with kids, and build real leadership experience? USA Ninja Challenge Appleton is looking for energetic, dependable individuals to join our team as Youth Fitness & Ninja Coaches .
NO NINJA EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!
We will train the right candidate. You do not need to be a ninja athlete or have previous coaching experience to apply for our Assistant Coach positions. We are looking for people who are energetic, reliable, comfortable working with kids, and willing to learn. This can be a great opportunity for college students or anyone interested in fitness, education, recreation, kinesiology, athletics, youth development, or coaching. Our gym is conveniently located in Appleton near Lawrence University and Fox Valley Technical College and within commuting distance of UW-Oshkosh. College-Friendly Schedule Our coaching hours work especially well around daytime class schedules:
Weekdays:
Approximately 3:45 PM-8:00
PM Saturdays:
Flexible shifts available
Sundays:
CLOSED - Guaranteed Sundays Off Approximately 8-15 hours per week This is an active job—not a desk or cash-register position. You'll be moving around the gym, interacting with kids, helping with obstacles, and becoming part of a fun and energetic environment. Responsibilities As a Ninja Coach, you'll help children ages 4-17 develop strength, coordination, confidence, and athletic skills through our structured ninja fitness program.
Your responsibilities may include:
Lead or assist with structured youth ninja classes. Teach children how to safely run, jump, climb, swing, and balance. Demonstrate and teach skills using obstacles such as warped walls, cargo nets, swinging ropes, rings, and other ninja equipment. Encourage students and help them build confidence as they learn new skills. Maintain a positive, energetic, and supportive class environment. Monitor participants to ensure proper technique and safe use of equipment. Help manage class flow and transitions between obstacles. Track student progress and skill development. Work with other coaches to provide a safe, organized, and fun experience for every student. Be a positive role model for the children in our program. Qualifications---No Ninja Experience Required! We will provide training for the right candidate. Athletic or coaching experience is helpful, but it is not required for an entry-level Assistant Coach position. We'd especially like to hear from candidates who are: Great with kids: Experience with babysitting, summer camps, daycare, youth programs, tutoring, or youth sports is a plus.
Active and energetic:
An athletic background in gymnastics, track, cheer, dance, wrestling, football, soccer, martial arts, general fitness, or other sports is helpful but not required.
Reliable:
You show up on time, communicate well, and can be counted on by your teammates.
Positive:
You're comfortable encouraging kids and helping them work through challenges.
Willing to learn:
We'll teach you our ninja program, obstacles, class structure, and safety procedures.
Comfortable staying active:
This position involves standing, moving around the gym, demonstrating movements, and assisting students.
Available during our coaching hours:
Regular weekday afternoon/evening and/or Saturday availability is important. Why Join USA Ninja Challenge Appleton?
