Position Summary The Department of Government, Public Service, and International Studies at the University of Central Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the field of American Government and Politics beginning on August 16, 2027. Responsibilities include teaching sections of U.S. Government & Politics, as well as upper-division courses in American political behavior and public policy. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing and able to teach one or more of the following upper-division courses
Environmental Law & Policy, Political Parties & Interest Groups, and Political Campaigns & Elections.
The successful candidate will possess excellent teaching skills and demonstrate a record of, or the potential for, scholarly research, presentations, and publications. The required educational background for this position is a Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field with a primary teaching and research emphasis in the field of American Government and Politics.
