Fri Jul 1 2022 The Department of Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences at SUNY Old Westbury regularly seeks to hire Adjunct Instructors to teach courses as needed in the Mathematics Department.

Courses:

College Algebra Statistics Precalculus for Business Precalculus Elementary Mathematics for Teachers Candidates for adjunct positions should have a record of high-quality teaching. Candidates should have experience teaching a culturally diverse student population. SUNY Old Westbury serves large populations of underrepresented, first-generation, and non-traditional students. Candidates with experience working with a similar student body, and a demonstrated commitment to supporting these populations, are strongly encouraged to apply. Located on a 604-acre campus on Long Island, Nassau County, about 40 miles from New York City, SUNY Old Westbury comprises four Schools (Education, Business, Arts and Sciences and Professional Studies) with total enrollment of 4400 students, of which approximately 2800 are in B.A., B.S., B.F.A. and M.S. programs offered by the School of Arts and Sciences. Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:

A minimum of Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. or ABD degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related field. Teaching experience at the college level. Experience in online teaching.
