Kent, Ohio Basic Function:
The Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at Kent State University invites applications for a non-tenure track (NTT) lecturer or assistant professor position beginning August 19, 2027. This is a continuous, renewable position with an emphasis on teaching. NTT faculty in the college are expected to engage in scholarly or other relevant professional activities to maintain currency in the field. Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate marketing courses depending on departmental needs (e.g., International Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Applications, Social Media and Digital Marketing). The department offers courses primarily in person and some courses online. Candidates with a Ph.D. may have the opportunity to teach in the MBA program.
Minimum Qualifications:
An MBA or a Master's with Specialization in
Marketing:
For candidates with a master's degree, an appointment is at the rank of NTT lecturer. OR A Doctoral degree in
Marketing:
For candidates with a doctoral degree, an appointment is at the rank of NTT assistant professor.
Preferred Qualifications - if applicable:
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience teaching an international marketing course. Working Conditions /
Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
