Job Description

Assistant or Associate Professor of International Studies (Tenure Track) About Erskine College At theheart of Erskine College is its Christian identity. The mission of Erskine College is to glorify God as a Christian academic community wherestudents integrate knowledge and faith, equipped to flourish as whole persons prepared for lives of service, leadership, and influencethrough the pursuit of undergraduate liberal arts, graduate, and seminary education. Description Due to programgrowth, Erskine College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in International Studiesor a closely related field (such as International Relations, Political Science, Economics, History, or Legal Studies). Preference will begiven to candidates with interdisciplinary experience and candidates able to teach a broad range of globally themed courses, such asinternational law and/or the global economy. A commitment to pedagogical innovation and experiential learning (e.g., simulations, studyabroad, internships, moot court) is desired. The ideal candidate will have a Ph. D. in International Studies, InternationalRelations, or a related field or professional degree. Excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching are required. Qualifications Ph. D. in International Studies, International Relations, Law, Economics, Political Science, ora closely related field. Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching and/or public communication skills. Ability to teachgraduate-level coursework. Demonstrated experience in international law and/or international economics.
