Adjunct Communications Professor - School of Arts and Communication

Job Description

The School of Arts & Communication is seeking to fill multiple part-time positions with adjuncts that have skills set to teach Communication courses in our program. Florida Institute of Technology invites applicants for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the School of Arts and Communications. We are looking for adjunct faculty in the following disciplines for the 2025 - 2026 semesters and beyond. Positions are located in
Melbourne, Florida:
English, with an emphasis on composition and rhetoric, writing about literature, and Basic English writing. Communication, with an emphasis on science and technical communication, business and professional communication, and speech. Humanities, with an emphasis on history, literature, art history and philosophy. Specialists in African American Studies will also be considered.
Duties:
Teach undergraduate sections in their area of expertise.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Masters of Arts degree in subject area or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level in a classroom setting; Eighteen (18) hours of coursework in field of teaching. •Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES). •Required certification or license must be uploaded when submitting application for employment.
