Arts & Learning Resources Job Summary/Basic Function:
Everett Community College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach journalism/communication coursework. This position reports to the Dean of Arts & Learning Resources and will work closely with the full-time journalism faculty member.

JOURN 110
Media Writing (this class is taught in person, on campus)
Prepare course materials, including a syllabus, web content, and examinations
Identify and implement procedures/techniques to assess individual student learning.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in journalism, communications or related field
College level teaching experience
Knowledge of current best practices of both journalism and media communication, including social media.
Demonstrated experience and/or classroom strategies for effectively instructing students from diverse backgrounds including differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and religion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience in journalism and/or media communications
Community college teaching experience

For Winter Quarter 2019, JOURN 110 is scheduled for MW from 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Classes begin on January 7th.
