Everett Community College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach journalism/communication coursework. This position reports to the Dean of Arts & Learning Resources and will work closely with the full-time journalism faculty member.

• Media Writing (this class is taught in person, on campus)
• Prepare course materials, including a syllabus, web content, and examinations
• Identify and implement procedures/techniques to assess individual student learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in journalism, communications or related field
• College level teaching experience
• Knowledge of current best practices of both journalism and media communication, including social media.
• Demonstrated experience and/or classroom strategies for effectively instructing students from diverse backgrounds including differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and religion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience in journalism and/or media communications
• Community college teaching experience
