Exempt General Function The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities. Description of Primary Duties The successful candidate will be expected to engage in high-quality teaching in Management Information Systems, Business Applications/Excel, Cybersecurity, AI, and other emerging technologies. Teaching may also include online and face-to-face modalities. Beyond teaching classes, the successful candidate will be expected to provide service to the College of Business and the Department, and the local/regional community. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required. Additional Qualifications Minimum qualifications include an earned Master's degree from an AACSB or ABET accredited institution in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field at the time of appointment, and a minimum of three years of professional experience with demonstrated proficiency in the related teaching areas. Evidence of the potential for high-quality teaching in one or more of the following areas is highly desired: Management Information Systems, Business Applications/Excel, Cybersecurity, AI, and other emerging technologies.
