Job Description

The Department of Computer Science at Angelo State University seeks qualified applicants for Adjunct Instructor positions in Cybersecurity beginning Fall 2026. The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence, as well as Master of Science degree programs in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Essential Duties Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Cybersecurity in both online and face-to-face formats. Develop and deliver instructional materials and assess student learning outcomes. Support a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students. Provide high-quality educational experiences in Cybersecurity for both majors and non-majors. Maintain regular communication with students and uphold academic standards. Collaborate with faculty to support and enhance curriculum development, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Knowledge Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and practices sufficient to support instruction at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and student-centered learning approaches. Skills Strong instructional and teaching skills. Skill in delivering course content in both online and face-to-face formats. Skill in developing engaging and innovative learning environments. Skill in integrating technology to enhance student learning. Strong organizational and time management skills. Abilities Ability to create a supportive learning environment that promotes student success. Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues. Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment. Ability to manage workload, adapt to changing needs, and contribute to a dynamic academic setting. Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required. Experience teaching courses in computer science or cybersecurity at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Experience in cybersecurity course or curriculum development. Experience with graduate instruction, advising, or relevant professional or scholarly activity.
