Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned. Understands academic, behavioral, and perceptional functioning of an individual student. Implements and monitors students' Individual Education Plans. Provides intervention and instruction for special education students consistent with state and federal education code requirements. Maximize the opportunity for student's with disabilities to access and thrive using OCCA's unique classical curriculum Provides support to staff, teachers and parents. Which includes collaborating with teachers and other staff members to improve instructional strategies to meet the needs of an individual with an IEP Provides services with fidelity and monitoring student progress to guide instruction and program planning. Using attendance records to track minutes (Keeps attendance records) . • Ensures all accommodations and supports are given within general education classrooms and/or among all educational settings Appropriately and with fidelity manage serval IEP documents. Case Manager's are required to update IEPs (accurately and thoroughly), schedule meetings, and ensure students are receiving services and supports with fidelity Organizes and maintains IEP records and all other records pertinent to the special education program for the state reports and program accountability Confers frequently with parents and professional staff members regarding the educational, social, and personal concerns of such students. Participates in professional development days activities Ability to: Plan, organize, develop, and conduct a comprehensive teaching and instructional program for students; provide appropriate and effective learning experiences for students from a wide range of socioeconomic levels and cultural backgrounds; effectively assess the instructional and educational needs of students, and design, develop, and implement sound instructional and educational programs; provide a motivating learning environment; continuous learning efforts to improve interventions and strategies .
