The Mission of Orange County Classical Academy is to develop students in mind and character through a classical, content-rich liberal arts and sciences curriculum that emphasizes the principles of scholarship, moral character, and civic virtue. OCCA is under the El Dorado Charter SELPA. Our growing special education team consists of qualified, professional, and dedicated service providers and therapists, who share the passion of supporting our students in special education. The students in special education consists of approximately 10% of the student population. We provide services to our students in both the push-in and pull

Job Overview OCCA is seeking a passionate and dedicated Education Specialist to join our special education team. In this vital role, they will be expected to oversee/ Case Manage students on IEPs (this can range from 1st grade to 6th grade). The Ed. Specialist must have knowledge to evaluate/assess, plan, and implement specialized academic instruction/ intervention, and remediation. The Ed Specialist is responsible for developing high quality IEPs that addresses the needs of each individual. They must have knowledge and be confident to write and propose effective goals, supports, and accommodations/ modifications. The Ed Specialist will actively collaborate with the entire IEP team, including general education teachers and families, to determine the supports essential for each child to succeed.
